LOGGING IN TO
DESTINY DISCOVER
You can search the catalog without logging in. But if you want to preview or check out the digital materials (ebooks and audiobooks), or if you want to find out what materials you've borrowed and when they're due back, you'll need to log in using your school Google account. Also, while you're logged in and searching for books in Destiny Discover, it will show you other relevant resources, such as websites, collections, databases, and more.

MACKINVIA INFO
Some of our digital titles are hosted on Destiny, but the majority are hosted on our MackinVIA site. The two catalogs are linked so that when you see a digital book and click on "Open" in Destiny, it may redirect you to the MackinVIA where you'll be able to see how many copies are available, open it and/or check it out. However, just like in Destiny, you must be logged in with your school Google account. The MackinVIA site home page also has links to news articles for young people, online resources, videos, and websites on many topics. In Groups, you can see customized book lists prepared by your librarian.

MACKINVIA MOBILE APP
There is a mobile app for iPhone and Android devices that allows you to log in, browse, search, open or checkout any of the digital books hosted on MackinVIA. Once you check out an ebook or audiobook, you can download it to your device using the app so that you can read or listen without an internet connection.
If you want to bypass Destiny to just search for digital books, you can use this direct link to the MackinVIA site. However, you will still need to log in with your school Google account.

Sora

We have over 350 digital titles (ebooks and audiobooks) in our school district collection through the Sora app, which you can use on your phone/mobile device or web browser. Just click on the Sora link above and sign in through the Point Pleasant School District. Also, download the Sora app on your phone/mobile, find our school district, then log in with your school Google or Clever account.
Once you have the Sora app, you can add other libraries, like the Ocean County Library (which incidentally, has over 100 manga titles on Sora) and borrow from their collection too! All titles in our Sora collection have unlimited simultaneous copies, which means you will never have to wait for someone else to return the book.
